The purpose of the SHINNE study is to understand how nursing assistants use preventative care services and how certain non-medical factors influence their health and well-being.​
The long-term goal of this research is to examine the underlying mechanisms of systemic disparities and generate actionable and tailored organizational and policy intervention factors that will improve the health and well-being of healthcare support workers, including nursing assistants.

This study is funded by Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
